Please can anyone help as I'm having a total nightmare with my lovely x type. It's a 58 plate, with high mileage but had been a fleet car and been maintained by Jaguar until recently....however in January this year it went from driving like a dream to suddenly not driving. Turned out the fuel injector pump had disintegrated, so had the system cleaned and pump and injectors replaced. Have just had the pressure regulator replaced as was still having an issue with hunting and either cutting out or going into limp mode randomly, but driving beautifully in between. The mechanic replaced the regulator and while running the engine for a few mins afterwards the car cut out and will now not turn on at all.
Has anyone had this, or have any idea what could be wrong as the mechanic is banging his head against the wall trying to work out what is wrong now.
It was a dream to drive until Jan this year 😢
