X-Type 2.2 Sovereign (2006) 130k miles - Steering recently gone very light???
SubscribeHi everyone
I have had 6 X Types before, many with slight issues but my latest X Type has recently developed an issue whereby the steering feels really light, and on turn in (both directions) the car feels like it is either over steering or will snap into the direction, it sort of feels 'wooly', not connected, fairly vague, it's like driving on slippy or icy roads - all for no apparent reason. I have lost all confidence in the front of the car and its point in to bends. I have checked my front tyres (plenty of tread), tried varying pressures (usually 28-32psi) - all seems OK.
Does anybody have experience or ideas regarding what may be up with my Jaguar's steering.
I hopefully look forward to some possible diagnosis' or reasons.
Cheers
Jas
