Default X-Type 2,2d tempeture low and leep mode

Hello everyone..
I recently bought an 2006 x-type 2.2 d manual , all went perfect until recently.
The tempeture starting to do some things like not rising, and the car goes to leep mode ( flashing glow plag sign).
The turbo actuator also goes to off side.
I changed both the thermostats (small and big) and the tempeture sensor as well.
Is anybody here that had the same problem ?
Also i am suspecting maybe is the ground of the tempeture sensor , anybody know how to find out if it is that and how to ckeck?
Thanks...

Billy, I would say that your best bet is going to be to remove the temp sensor and put it into a pot of water. From what I can find, if you get the water up near boiling (at 200F/90C), the temp sensor should have a resistance between the 2 pins of about 200 ohms. If you are getting something higher than that (say at 500 ohms), then this could be misleading the car and making it think that the motor is cold and it needs the glow plugs (hence your glow plug light). This sensor is backwards from what most people think of. This sensor has a high resistance when cold and a low resistance when hot. Cold, you can expect to get around 2-10K ohms (depending on the temp outside). If you are getting a good resistance reading doing the hot water test, then you are looking at a high resistance most likely in the plug, but could be in the wiring between the sensor and the ECU.

HOpe this helps. We don't have the diesel variant in the US, so, I am just applying some basic repair principles to this issue.

The flashing coil light is usually caused by sticking turbo vanes, or faulty turbo actuator.
You need to get the ecu codes read to help diagnosis.

Paul.
