who's thought about / looked into performance upgrades for their X Type whether it be 2.5 or 3.0?
I have been making enquiries and came across Paramount Performance.
Having asked the question, Can you do it? How much? and what sort of improvement can you expect? I got the following answers.
Firstly I should say that I drive a Saab 93 1.9 Tid (150bhp) which makes it a mean diesel. Having driven both I gotta say that the Saab being smaller and lighter will eat the X Type (seriously) and nearly every 2.0 you put in front of it ( except your evo's and subarus of course!) The 0-62 has gone from around 8.9 to 7.7ish
Suffice to say I had a BMW 3.0d on my *** the other day but at 151 he sorta disappeared.
Anyways I digress

The ECU upgrade on the 2.5 will give you about 22bhp increase - so from 194bhp to 216 bhp plus an extra 30nm of torque. This will be shown on a before and after dyno run at their rolling road setup.
Cost for this - a measly £650 + vat £ 763.75 Total.

Any thoughts guys?
