Hi,

I am trying to find out what is actually wrong with my car. I have the 2.1 petrol, if the AC is off the car claims gets up to operational temperature but i never seem to notice the cooling fans come on, I know its winter but I'd expect them to come on a bit. all the pipes are toasty hot.

If I put the AC on they come on but only spin a quite slowly, fast enough to feel it but not gale force wind which I've felt of there in the past.

It has been pointed out the fan control relay / module might have failed but when I've researched they have noted that if that fails the fans never come one.

I was wondering if maybe it might be a water temperature sensor failed and its not telling the car the correct temperature and thus the fan is never being told to spin fast enough?

I have replace the coolant, the radiator, the water pump and the thermostat recently.

I'd Appreciate any pointers.

Although it isn't much of a gauge what does the temp gauge say ?

 

it sits at half way and gets there very quickly, really hot air comes out the ventilation before it gets to half way and the only way to get cold air is to put the ac onto low, the millage is 166,000 and I'm not looking to spend lots of money on her as I fear she only has a few months left on her.
