HELP!, Itook car to Firestone for a tire & they opened hood to look for other things needed, but didn;t lock hood down.
While diving home on highway, hood flew up, smashed windshield, has a crease in middle of hood & hood ornament smashed moonroof.
Collision can get everything except a hood

Does anyone know where a hood can be obtained?. Car is navy blue but collision site should be able to paint to match car if not blue

@Bill400 ? Do you have this from your parts X-Type?

Also, if not you can surely get one from a junk yard. If there isn't one locally, those guya can usually get you one.

Surely a bonnet that was not locked down would have lit a red warning light on the dash and, on most X types, a message saying bonnet/hood open? Just sayin' as they say

 

There was no red light whlIe I was driving home, I would have questioned that. Wish there had been
