sell the capacitor for as much as you can get and upgrade your battery, and alternator if you can find one. capacitors are useless and a waste of money.

Welcome milkchug...Sell the cap upgrade the big 3 and if you must put an h/o or bigger amp alt in there...if your running the bxi1606d you are probably more near 1200 rms. I happen to like maxxsonics' products they have but they are a little overrated until you get into either the groundpounder stuff, xx series of amps, autotek or mb quart but the cost is also higher on these models. As a car audio enthusiast I'd upgrade the big 3 and ensure you have big enough wire running to your amp. you could also add a battery or change the battery to a higher powered one made for the specific purpose like a yellow top optima.

As a fellow jag owner I would never do that to the trunk or the electrical system though. I love car audio but respect the electrical system too much (or respect it enough to not want problems) to add that kind of power to these cars...i guess if I had the money to fix problems or a warranty I'd feel different.

All this talk about alternators, but what is the stock alt pushing out?

Yeah, as others have mentioned, Optima batteries may be more robust for your application.

Hey nineball didn't you have a cap in your other ride? Did you have to upgrade your electrical system for your setup in the jag? How much power/rms are you pulling for that setup?

That was in english bo...you didn't understand it?
You don't get flex from those? Which audiobahn are they? The aw1206t with 1100 rms or the aq1208t with 1500 rms? Shoot you could take one out and put that amp to just one of those subs! I imagine that since you are running them at 2 ohms you got the 1500rms with the dual 2 ohm? Are you more confused bo?
Oh nevermind I just re-read what you said and you took one sub out so you must have the 1500rms one if your running that at 4 ohms!? You going to change the box? Man I love hifonics! I'll be doing my brothers car when he gets his money...more than likely some hifonics olympus 4800's with a colossus or 2 bxi2607's...just depends...oh yeah and 12's...I don't like the sound of 15's and I doubt he would...I like that lower bass but not for the music he listens to...we'll be glassing a box. You ever search on stevemeadedesigns or roe.com?

You should yank that box and make a custom fiberglass one up in there...
