Exclamation X-Type Brake Problems

Hello again, Everyone.

My "NEW" problem with my X-Type is the braking system. I just replaced all 4 rotors, pads (ceramics) and replaced the brake fluid. Every morning when I turn the car on and try to brake, the brake pedal feels very soft and hardly brakes at all. As the car warms up it begins to brake better but it becomes stiffer. Sometimes, I really have to step on the brake pedal. Is it my Master Cylinder or Brake Booster? I get no warning lights on my dashboard. Does anyone know why this is happening.

Thanks!

I maybe over stating the obvious..but what you are describing, sounds like air is in the brake system circuit....IMO..you need to bleed the brakes the old fashioned way..Have plenty of Jaguar spec brake fluid and someone who follows orders while sitting in the driver's seat pumping the brakes..Start the bleeding process at the right rear wheel and then when that fluid is clear, do the left rear next, then the front right and finally the front left., in that order.
I assume you know to close off the bleed nipple at the bottom of the brake stroke before letting the pedal return to the up position...Repeating this many times per wheel (caliper), until the fluid runs clear...Don't forget to keep the reservoir full while doing this to prevent air from entering again into the system.

No problem buddy....let me know if this worked...I also will mention, to get a 1 foot or so length of vacuum tubing to fit over the bleed nipple so to channel the fluid into a clear jar to see when it clears up as you bleed.
