Default X-Type A/C Clutch Plate Failure

So the dealer just quoted me 1800 for a new a/c compressor after I took it in due to a clicking/rotary grinding sound. I initially thought it was an idler pulley or serpentine belt. I went and picked up the car, drove it home and jacked it up, removed passenger wheel and wheel well shroud. IT provides perfect access to the a/c pulley and clutch assembly. The problem is that the inner clutch plate is loose and movable by hand, I can tell by the sound of it moving that this is for sure the source of the noise. I have found several other posts discussing this and it sounds as if it is not all that uncommon. My question is this, is this rebuildable or replaceable with junk yard compressor parts? How are the two parts assembled? There are three round pegs on the clutch plate that sit in the outer pulley assembly. One peg is sitting nicely, secured by a metal busging, washer or something of the sort. The other two are not and wobble freely inside the outer seat.

Any help greatly appreciated!!!
