Talking X-type a/c compressor replacement

Hi all
Just bought myself a 2002 x-type. Needs a replacement A/C compressor.
Im in Perth Western Australia. Ive been quoted $1900 for replacement .
Anyone know if I can source one cheaper than this. Also. does anyone happen to know the part number and whether i need a genuine part or not.
Thanks
Richo

Here's what I found in my search:

OEM part number is C2S47472A

I am replacing mine with an aftermarket currently. I don't have the car back yet though, so I cannot tell you if there is/will be any issues. I am assuming not though.

The subframe needs to be dropped/lowered to replace the A/C Compressor.

edit...you will also want to replace the receiver/dryer as well.

Hi Richo.
I had my 2007 X-Type with only 60,000Km A/C replaced in Mandurah, total cost was $2000 which included a Receiver Drier-air Con Assy,I thought it was abit high but I can imagine a fair bit of labour involved.
Cheers John
