X-Type Check Engine Light
My jaguar oil light came on because I left the cap off after checking it, lots of oil blew over the engine out of the fill-hole. The check engine light stays on now and the car miss or stalls upon acceleration attimes. What would be the fix?"
Jon, I would venture to guess that you got some oil down in the spark plug wells near the fill hole. What you will need to do is to remove the air box from the car so you can access the plug wells on the front side of the engine. Then you will need to get some sort of rag or the like to wipe up the oil out of the wells. May want to also get a little bit of degreaser to help remove the oil from the COPs.
That should hopefully cure what ailes the engine. But, like was mentioned, getting the codes will help isolate down the problem(s). But, I would venture to guess that you would be getting the P0304 and P0306 codes.

Oil in the coils is probably the problem I had the same one but I also had to replace the coil as it shorted out, If it hasn't gone into limp home mode the coil is probably still good but it needs to be cleaned. Oh and my problem came from a bad valve cover gasket.
