x type Eng. Swap 2.5L to 3.0L -- What do i need??
do i need any computer stuff??
Swapping in a 04 3.0L into my 03 x type that currently has a 2.5L..I can do the swap with the help of a few friends , I just want to know if i need the 3.0L computer or any other electronics???

You would need the 3.0 ECM. Of course this means you won't be able to start the car after the swap until you have the pair of keys programmed at the dealer. I can't think of anything as far as sensors go but then I haven't done this swap.
Technically you would need the 3.0 transmission as well. The torque converter at least but Jatco has told me that there are internal differences in addition to the converter. You could probably get away without this but I would worry most about setting codes that are tested under different conditions between the 2 engines.
