Hi Oso. Welcome aboard. In a minute or two, our friend Graham is going to remind you to visit the new members page and post a howdy to everyone and introduce yourself and your car to the forums. On to your problems.
You removed the cluster. Tell me, is this the instrument cluster in front of the driver with the tachometer and speedometer, etc? I'm thinking it's an electrical connector that was not put back correctly.
Go back and make sure those connectors are all good. Check and make sure a pin or two did not get pushed back and fail to engage. It could be all the pins are fine in a connector but one or two or so didn't line up correctly and got pushed back instead of sliding into the socket. It could even be one you didn't touch because it was pulled on even though you didn't mean to put any stress on it, but you did accidently.
After that you will need to start testing wires for continuity to make sure wires did not get accidently broken.
