Default X-Type Grilles

I want to install a Mina-Type mesh grill but I also want to replace the current grill with a new one because the chrom is starting to flack off of my grill. My question to this forum is are all X-Type grills the same? I found the following on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I have a 2002 X-Type 3.0. Will this grill fit?

It will fit fine. I got my grill from Aremesh (spelling mistake) in England. It was prepainted to match frame wise (not chrome) for less than that shipped. I think that is higher than what Jag sells 'em for. My memory could be a bit off of course,

It will fit fine. Dealer list price is $510, so this ain't that bad...but still bad.

If you're interested in the sport black mesh grille with black surround, I still have mine for sale. PM me if you're interested.

Thats WAY to high of a price. Mina Gallery sells theirs for like $100. Although it isn't oem and their shipping and customer service is not the greatest, I would get it from them if you really wanted it.

I looked at Mina and for $100 all you het is the mesh; I need the Grill as well as the chrom plating on mine is flaking off.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Oh I think Mina has that as well but its close to the lines of $300, just go with ebay you'll get it faster anyways. Although adamesh has them too.

Adamesh is cheaper and they have excellent shipping rates. You may also be able to save the Value Added Tax charges as well:

USD$315.99

Thats right ^ there shipping rates are astonishing. I just purchased some clear side markers for my moms XJ8L X350 about an hour ago and they were only $7 to ship over to California!

Yes, unfortunately, it also appears that Chris isn't selling these at Mina. Otherwise I would say to go there.

Are the Adamesh grills (new and old style) OEM or after-market?

Hmm I'm not sure, aftrmarket parts for these cars are hard to come by so I'm going to guess its OEM. Give them a ring though or email since they are in the u.k.

They are aftermarket items. Their products are quality items, well respected in the UK.

I recieved my grille from Adamesh yesterday, it's an original Jaguar part, came in a box with a Jag part-number label on it, and it has Jag logo and P/N moulded into the chrome part of the mesh on the back.

It's 100% OEM as far as I can see...
