Tambo, while I can't speak for Jags specifically, but on my Ford, the COP (coil on plug) for each plug can develop a crack in the top of them, allowing moisture into them. Once this happens, it can cause the COP to short out internally, not allowing the cylinder to fire. I would check the top of all your COPs and see if any are cracked. In a lot of cases, this is the easy way to tell which cylinder is not firing on a Ford. This same logic should still apply as Ford owned Jag and shared a lot of technology between the two.
