X-Type replacement

X-Type replacement
I was talking with my Jaguar dealer the other day about the decision made to stop the x-type production and if Jaguar were going to introduce a replacement vehicle, the salesman couldn't understand why the x-type was discontinued and he had already lost customers as a result, he did state that the main dealers are always on the look out for good examples of the x-type, so you might see second hand values stabilize as a result.
He did mention that there was a replacement car on the drawing board, however, he had no idea of the timescales to production and the showroom. Has anyone heard of the replacement or managed to get a sneak preview (pictures)?

Jaguar will be introducing a new X-Type in 2014 but it will likely be a RWD not an AWD. See this thread:

that is the only reason i would buy the x type (awd) otherwise there is just way too much rwd competition and sorry to say but i think it would loose. it has got to be one if the best cars i have driven in the snow. i would really like it if it were a little bigger, im a average sized guy (5"7" ish) and i feel cramped in it... i have the seat all the way back when i drive it. and with the driver door closed its a little tight to use the controles..my watch always hits the door.
