X-Type for sale, but what the heck is it?
Greetings X-Type forum folks! I'm usually over on the S-Type section (currently own a 03 S-Type base) and am the former owner of a totaled 06 X-Type. I've always kept my eyes open for a replacement 06-08 era X-Type, Zircon blue or Silver for sale locally at a price my "boy's toys" budget can afford and doesn't run like crap.
One of the local used car lots that was selling a really nice condition XJ last year is now selling what is listed as and looks, from the exterior, as an 06 X-Type, silver exterior with grey interior for $8k (asking price). But, the dealership just posted photos and I'm scratching my head.
2006 JAGUAR X TYPE
WHAT is that interior? No center console? Black vinyl over grey leather door trim? And that engine? And those driver and passenger seats with the curved back? As a guy who's looked at dozens of potential replacements for my dear departed blue kitty, I've never seen this before. Heck, I've even seen one of those X-Type wagons :O, but this??
Anyone with an explanation of it?

Looking, they have 3 different cars in the pics. You have an X-Type with the light gray interior, you have an X-Type with the dark gray interior, and then you have a honda (dash pic and the V-Tec engine pic).
I would say that if you are truely interested in this car, a drive would be well worth your time. That way you get to see what you are going to get and from the sounds of things, someone was in a rush to get the pics posted and who knows what they may have left out of the description.

Thanks for the replies! I figured it was either photos of a few different cars, or somebody really, really modded their interior and maybe replaced the engine...
Maybe the confusing photos will confuse buyers and the car lingers on the lot and the price drops... I'm stopping by this afternoon. I suspect the real interior is probably the dark grey as that's the one photo with both exterior and interior door panel trim showing (would greatly prefer the light grey...).
::EDIT:: Stopped by the dealership and of course they're closed on a Sunday. The vehicle's interior is dark grey/black (to my eyes). As all the photos are screwed up, and I'm calling BS on their "low mileage" claim (102,000 miles on the window sticker), and the right rear quarter panel shows some questionable body work, I'm thinking the $8,350 asking price is a bit high. Might still test drive it...
