2006 Jag. X Type 2 litre Diesel SE.
Sat Nav stopped working and now shows message "please insert Map DVD". I have a genuine Jaguar Map DVD in the machine but can't get it to work. I have removed it & replaced it but nothing changes. Can you help with suggestions? Jim

 

Did you go into the hidden menu on screen and accidentally hit the S/W button? Are you getting a 50/51 code? If so, you need to search "blank nav screen" in this forum, read and follow the directions there to burn a restore disk.

 

I had the same problem a few years ago with a 3l x type i owned. My problem was the denso box in the boot jaguar quoted a ridiculous figure to replace so after burning a number of discs i replaced the box with a second hand one from ebay and it worked fine after that
