So I was having the issue where the sunroof wouldn’t slide back into the roof and the back half of the switch was not working. If I pressed forward it would pop up and if I pressed forward again it would close and then drop down like it was going to go into the roof but it would stop. It also wouldn’t park closed and I would have to press the button forward in little spurts. I read on here that reprogramming would get it to work but that the back half of the switch was probably toast. I tried for hours to reprogram it holding the forward button for 30 seconds and it just wouldn’t work.
Well, since nothing was working I decided to take the glass out to see if anything was jammed. Once I got the glass out I started watching the track as I pushed the button and I couldn’t see anything blocking it but it just didn’t seem to be lowering into the track so I pushed down on both sides of the track and it just started working. Even the back half of the switch works now. Everything is perfect! It auto opens and closes and both halves of the switch work perfectly. I think I could have just pushed down on the glass while someone pressed the switch but I don’t want to recommend just in case.
Anyway, I’ve seen that multiple people have had this issue but I couldn’t find a resolution so I thought I’d share in hopes that this could help someone.
