Well my patience with this heap of crap has finally cracked !. Never another jaguar - these heaps are far too clever and far too prone to error. 1 year of starting problems is enough for me - having exhausted every avenue,paid out a mint and still the bugger does not start without a prolonged assault on the battery and starter motor.
Still tells me the crankshaft sensor is faulty ( have replaced this twice so far)
Anyway enough ranting compares - adios to you jaguar forum members - thank you very much for your various and very kind recommendations - much appreciated.
After the scrapyard I am heading out to look for a decent and simple vehicle that actually works
