Default X type trolley jacking front alignment damage?

Hi, Bought 2007 a 2.0 diesel X type last week. I took the car to an auto centre for a front wheel balance today. When I drove off in the car I noticed that the steering wheel was no longer in the normal "straight ahead" position when driving in a straight line. I had not noticed this before and am almost certain that something has changed as a result of the front end being jacked up for the wheel removal. Is it possible that a trolley jack placed in the wrong position could have caused this by bending something? Thanks for any info.

Yes, there are plenty of parts that a shop could have boogered with a trolley jack; that is why Jag says to only lift by the jacking points.
