Default X-Type wheel alignment (pot holes suck)

Pot holes this past winter have devasted my cat. I got a bent rim and wheel out of alignment, because of it. Anyone want 3Miglia rims[sm=headbang.gif]? *********** wants to charge $190. I am calling around and some places don't want to touchher because of special tools and a stress test or something like that. One place says they have the newest Hunter machine (I know the brand is good for wheel balancing) and should have no problem doing it. Any knowledge on if the X has any special processes to getting an alignment done?

Just had mine done the other week at our bodyshop.
The front wheels were toeing out 5 mins which I believe was responsible for wearing tyres out on the inside edges.
Had the toe set to zero (straight ahead) as the Jag tolerance is so big it could leave wear on inside edges even when within tolerance.
No special procedures I dont think other than getting the front aligned from the rears????

worse case scenario if caster and front camber are out then a subframe alignment procedure for front and rear subframes are in order...

cat still pulling to the right (towards the side the bent rim was as a result of a pothole)

so theFirestone Service Centersaid on the Jag, that they can only adjust the direction the wheel travels in, not the tilt "towards/away fromthe engine". That must be the camber you speak of. Is that right? Is the subframe alignment procedure included in $190 the dealer wants to charge me for the alignment, you think? Thanks! [sm=icon_cheers.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif]

IIRC, you need to utilize Hunter alignment systems (ask the techs before you actually go out and do it).

Just ask around...lots of people have them. I've seen them in my local Belle Tires. After I dropped my car, I got a 4-wheel alignment through them for $60.

Call around and play the "company x is giving me this deal, can you match it and or beat it" game.

Edit: sorry dude, I really got to start learning to read a thread fully!

before you get into the whole subframe adjustment stuff.. have you tried swapping the front tires.. left to right ? bad tires can cause a bad pull.. especially conti's

The tires look good, and have been rotated recently.

I guess what I am trying to get at, is can a regular alignment job from a joe shmo shop correct the cat pulling to the right?

Yeah I hate potholes as well, I had 3 rims ruined and 2 of them were literally cracked with 2 lacerated tires....hopefully your able to fix the pull...
