Default X-Type Window seal advices?

I think it's a fairly common issue on the X-Types (particualrly the older ones like mine), where the window seal/trim on the exterior starts to bubble. Mine have the typical bubbling half-way along on the front windows, but the rears are starting to go as well. I'm interested to change them as I think it will make the car look a lot smarter. Does anyone have any advice where might be best to buy them? I live in Belgium but with the Coronavirus it"s not a big deal as everything nead to be ordered online these days.

I've been quoted a horrendous amount by a Jaguar parts specialist. Alternatively I've found a chrome option (although mine are originally black) on eBay:

Has anyone tried these and do they work, as they are an none OEM part?

Many thanks!!

Cermania

Hi Cermania
I did mine a couple of years back as they do make the car look much more aesthetically pleasing. I found after looking round all over the place that to just get them direct from Jaguar main dealers was the best option. They had to order them in and im not sure if you can still get them that way?

Hope that helps.

Would you remember how much you paid per unit? I believe they cost here almost 80 euro a piece.

If I remember rightly I think they were about £40 each, and are black, but that was before the world went to sh*t. I bought a rear pair and painted the inside joining point to the back quarter light where they all seem to start to rot from constant rubbing, but are least protected with a thin coat of varnish. I do need to buy two front ones this year so will get an up to date price if I can and let you know, its difficult with everything locked down atm, Ive a number of projects on mine and struggling to get parts / tools. The gutter parts seemed to be made in Spain for what that's worth. I've no problem getting you a pair and posting if you want, you can stick the money in an ebay paypal account I've got if its any help?

I would very much appreciate it thanks. If you are able to I would be very happy if you could mail 4 pieces back to Belgium. ¨The lockdown situation is indeed quite problematic. I also have a lot of things to restore on my Jag, starting with the headlights that needs to be wetsanded. Also mis quite a few tools to remove dents all over the body and to restore the chrome frames.
