X-type winshield washer nozzle replacement
One of the windshield washer nozzles on my wife's 2003 x-type 2.5L has broken. I have seen replacements on line for about $40.00. Seems kind of pricey for a small piece of plastic!
Looking at in from the underside of the hood, I do not see any type of clip holding it in.
Does anyone have a less expensive source, and information on how to remove the old one. Do you push it out from the underside of the hood or do you pry it out from the top?

mikeda, give the nozzles a slight twist when attempting to remove them. They will twist one way, but not the other as I recall. Once loose, push up and out it will pop.
As for the nozzles, if you look on e-bay, they have a single one delivered to you for $20, or 2 nozzles for $39. For reference, the Jaguar recommended price is $33 a washer. Buying online, I can find them for just over $25 plus S&H for a washer from a Jaguar dealership.

I purchased the awful LED+chrome ones at Pep Boys for $9.99/pair. I simply snipped the wires and installed them.
They don't work exactly right, can't be adjusted and are not the right size. But they outlast the stock units here in sunny South Florida and they spray water on the windshield. And, for that, I give them a rating of acceptable.

You can hardly notice the sprayers on my car. But then, I pulled mine off right after getting the car and I color matched them to the hood. I think it looks much better than having the 2 black dots in the center of the hood. But, if I ever have to go back to all black sprayers, I will keep the Focus ones in mind.
