xtype sport urgent aircon help
hi everyone this is my first post so be gentle !! I have just got a 2005 xtype 3.0sport and have aircon issue . started the car yesterday and after 2minutes of running there was a loud his and aircon gas spraying from underneath of car so switched off car and it stopped . started car again and all good then started spraying gas out again , both times aircon was not switched on . have had a look and the gas seems to be coming from a wiring plug area on rear lower of aircon pump ? had aircon re gassed as there was only 180grams left in system . after re gas car started and after a couple of same again , started spraying aircon gas out even though aircon not switched on ? everytime the gas is coming from this wiring plug area from lower rear of aircon pump ., there is a small 8mm bolt holding the wiring in and the bolt head is dripping with the green dye in gas?
please help as frightened to drive the car

Just a wild *** guess - but it sounds very much like you blew a gasket / seal.
Even when the air conditioning is not running, the system is under pressure.
As for driving the car - you are probably right about not doing that - you can take out a compressor running with an empty system - it's not guaranteed but it *is* possible.
In the "old" days we would just remove the accessory belt that drove the air con because it was dedicated to that function - but you can't (I'm pretty sure) do that on the Jag cuz it's one long belt.
I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will pitch in here, but I just wanted you to know that somebody was listening :-)
