Antigravity battery observations:
My start/stop had quit working about 6 months ago, so I knew the battery was on its last legs. While I could have just replaced it with another OEM style battery, I love the car and enjoy improving it where I can. So almost two weeks ago I had a lightweight battery installed and the BMS reset. I decided to go with the 60-amp H7 94R battery from Antigravity. It was on sale, so I saved a little bit.

The battery itself is 30+ pounds lighter than stock and has a built-in jump-starting feature. As I am in my mid 60s a 50+ lbs. battery under the spare tire is getting difficult for me to manage, so this battery and the jump start feature made some sense to me. It is also supposed to last longer. I have not noticed any definitive improvements in the car’s acceleration or handling (with Phase 2 VAP and pulley it always feels quick). I do notice that it starts VERY quickly, and the auto stop/start seems to be eager (I shut mine off most of the time).
Thus far there are absolutely no issues and I am quite happy with my purchase.

I take it back! I got a charging system fault today (2x). The battery reads 13.34v with the car off and 13.79v when running... Crap. Ideas???? besides the obvious shouldn't have bought a light weight Lithium battery?????
Thanks, I did go through that process and sadly the Lithium battery is not compatible. The battery wants to hold the alternator voltage down generating a h/w fault. I went back to the AGM battery. I have sent the Lithium battery back, they are promising a refund...
I had to go back to AGM also. I was pleased with Antigravities support and refund. I am surprised they still list Jag on their website since it is a real and verified compatibility issue.

I'm a bit intrigued by this comment. Sure the standard AGM battery is heavy and lives below the spare wheel, but it only needs to be lifted in once and you can always enlist some help with doing this. You're not lifting the battery in and out multiple times during its typical 4 to 5 year life.
Sorry, I could have worded that better. I have had 3 shoulder surgeries and like to, where I can, do my own work. I do expect to get 5+ years out of the AGM battery (the last one lasted over 6), I just wasn't looking forward to me (personally) lifting an AGM battery in my 70s. I will probably hire it out when the time comes....
