Brake Pads

Brake Pads
I recently took my Jag XE for a track day. The car was a blast to drive spirited, but over a couple of laps I noticed some serious brake fade. So much so, that my pedal is longer for my everyday driving. I'm surprised at this as I expected the OEM pads to handle some hustle. Has anyone purchased some more "track ready" pads?

Try more aggressive trail-braking and downshifting next time to conserve the life of your pads.
OEM pads are usually quite sub-par in performance. I have 15K miles and can feel a noticeable decrease in braking performance even though I have not done any trackdays.

I believe Jaguar has changed pad over the years as they got knocked on initial quality score due to customers complaining about brake dust. My XK would dust just leaving the drive way. Similarly with BMW and Audi. Not sure why that was a knock at Jaguar.
My hunch is they went to a less dusty pad, but some braking performance or wear is a side effect. That is to say I am quite surprised at how little dust the XE produces (in a good way), but not so keen on the overall braking performance.
Compare the XE to a Ghibli and braking difference is just tremendous. Ghibli is another league.
