Default Carbon fiber rear diffuser from China (results)

Been looking at this carbon fiber diffuser for a while from China and decided to go for it. Quality is nice. Almost fit perfect but couldn’t get the outside clips in. So it is a little floppy and not 100% flush, which of course will haunt me... but no one else will notice. It’s definitely on there solid though so I’m not worried about it coming off

figured the forum might want to see how it looks in case any one was considering the same. I just put it on tonight so I’ll get some daytime pics tomorrow. and if anyone wants to see exactly where the fitment isn’t good let me know

I'd bring it by a body shop and have them fit the clips to make it perfect. Nice upgrade.

thanks @mosesbotbol ! that's a good call. Might have to do that, just hope it doesn't cost as much as the piece. was hoping for a nice cheap upgrade

I can't imagine it costing over $150 due to labor, but it will be perfect and secure.

It looks fantastic! Had considered going that way but was worried about fitment and the long delays getting it from China. There is a quad tip version as well I believe. Really nice look!

Thanks for sharing. MUCH better than the stock diffuser!

I'm considering the quad tip version-- thinking about getting an exhaust from VAP. Need to see if it'll be included in their upcoming Black Friday sale and if they're willing to do a custom quad tip version 😐 If not I'll definitely be getting this one.

How long did delivery take?

just 10 days. I was amazed at how quick it was actually. Quad exhaust would look amazing though

there’s two options on eBay that look identical. One more expensive than the other, so part of me wondered if that one would fit a little better but who knows. My offer was accepted at $275

here is the one I ordered

I need that rear for my 2017 XE 35t
I really want the front lip for the non sport which is 3 pcs. The sport bumper lip look really good and seems to flow good in the pictures...but the 3 pcs lip looks kinda weird since the side corners flip upwards over the actual car bumper. I have yet to find pictures of someone that bought that kit and installed it before I pull the trigger on them.

Haha. I was raised in Tallahassee, it's really just a second nature at this point. Only a coincidence that my xe is firenze red (garnet)

I figured you were a Seminole. We’ll agree to to disagree for the sake of the forum.... jags do have a special place in my heart now though so I’m down to put our differences aside and race 😏

Haha, I ain't that diehard anyway. But I too have a newfound special place for Jags and I'm gettin' quite excited about some mods. And I live in CO now, so it'd be quite a long drive for a race, lol.

Haha, that's true. But you got great weather year round. I love driving in the snow, but that requires me to have at least one awd car (this jag). Could get more for my money with a rwd...

Semi thread ressurection... I have the quad diffuser fitted to my XES (Uk version of the 35t I think, 3.0 v6 supercharged...) I had to get the rear quads made but I think the end result is great. I purposly went for gloss black rather than carbon fibre as I didnt plan on adding any other CF details.

I REALLY like the look of that, I have been working on my quad tips by modifying the stock diffuser. Yours looks more stock in appearance than the CF ones I have seen online. I see one similar on ebay but is says it is for an XF. Do you have a link?

Thanks, it took approximately 2.5 hrs to complete, oem was the look I was going for! There's a bit more of a write up here https://www.xeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9049
here's a link but it's out of stock just now.

Looks absolutely fantastic!, Wish I had known this style of quad diffuser was available before I started modding my stock one. I have spent a lot of time and effort and it isn't quite right yet. Can I ask how wide are the cutouts are for the exhaust and how the fitment was. I may want to go this route if I keep seeing flaws with mine.

I modified the stock diffuser for my audi quite a few years ago. Careful movements with the dremel and a lot of patience left that diffuser looking stock! I plastidipped the whole car making it easier to hide the modification.

For the jag I'm thinking about the same route, but maybe gloss black vinyl wrap to look like dolphin's diffuser there. Any snags or lessons learned modding your diffuser?
