My biggest snag was paying someone who said they could do it. He botched it but it is recoverable since he cut out too little and the 2 sides didn't match. I have been cleaning it up a bit with a file (slow and precise). My plan is to clamp a piece of 6 foot, 1/8 angle aluminum across the bottom of the diffuser, to get a consistent reference so the height of the cut outs will be even. The next task is to get the rounded parts consistent. The guy used some of the cutout portion to create the "lip" so that the sides the face has support. They also aren't even but not horrible. I will fix that once I can get the height measured out. Making them match is the biggest challenge.
The hard part is I am having to work around the quad tips which are welded in. They look good although once I finish I may have them brought up a bit so they are flush with the bottom of the diffuser. My last thought is to paint some of the underside that are viewable from the rear flat black.
It looks great i got mine from china as well but the black version not a fan of the carbon fiber, yeah about outside clips samething happened to mine but i got lazy so i haven't fix yet
