DEF issues
I have an XE with 75k miles, since 17k. I love the ride and the fuel mileage. I have had multiple problems with the DEF, stranded twice. I use the Blue DEF, was wondering if I should change to Ad Blue. I figure this is what I have to do to change this problem:
- switch to Ad Blue, or Blue DEF platinum
- Add at least every other fuel stop.
According to Jaguar: AdBlueŽ meeting ISO 22241 and ISO 22241-1. Diesel Exhaust Fluid is also known as DEF, AdBlue, AUS 32 and ARLA 32.

You don't say where you are located, please do so unless, (not detailed address, BTW). Also tell us what happened when you got stranded. Did you get to the point where the engine management system shuts down the engine due to insufficient DEF ? You would have got warnings about the level of DEF well beforehand.
I believe there has also been a TSB from Jaguar about DEF, but I'm not sure what years are affected. My own 2017 XE is OK, and my service plan includes AdBlue top-ups.
