XE battery location

Check the manual as you should be able to use the cigarette lighter jack in the trunk as the connection to user CTEK (or the like). That's what I am doing on the Aston, but on previous Jag, I connected something direct to the battery in the trunk that dongle would attach to it. Leaving the fitting on the battery all year long.
I'd go take a look, but my better half drives the XE as her daily.

Just to add some imagery to this thread -
This is how I charge the XE's battery, I just use the supplied clamps, although I do use CTEK pigtail connectors fitted to the battery, those have their batteries fitted in the engine bay and not the boot. Also ave a look here for different connection options -
