XE battery location
I found the battery connections under the hood, but would like to install a Battery Tender quick connect cable on the battery. Anyone have any photos of the battery ? Are there two batteries? Thanks
You can charge from the positive terminal and negative post that’s under the hood. The battery is in the boot well (trunk) and there’s only one. It’s advised not to charge directly to the battery.
Check the manual as you should be able to use the cigarette lighter jack in the trunk as the connection to user CTEK (or the like). That's what I am doing on the Aston, but on previous Jag, I connected something direct to the battery in the trunk that dongle would attach to it. Leaving the fitting on the battery all year long.
I'd go take a look, but my better half drives the XE as her daily.

Just to add some imagery to this thread -

This is how I charge the XE's battery, I just use the supplied clamps, although I do use CTEK pigtail connectors fitted to the battery, those have their batteries fitted in the engine bay and not the boot. Also ave a look here for different connection options -

You can attach the charger positive lead direct to the battery, but the negative lead should be attached to a nearby earthing point and NOT to the battery negative terminal. This is because attaching it to the negative terminal bypasses the battery condition monitoring device.
