Default Jaguar XE to be built in China

I think Jaguar may have just shot itself in the foot. But maybe they know something I don't know!

Did you even read the article????

The XE's for "western markets" will be built in the Solihul Land Rover plant

The cars built in China are for the Chinese market.

This is already the case with other JLR models, nothing new.

USA-market cars will still be made in the UK.

Exactly, however there was talk of JLR making cars over here. I kind of think part of the allure is where they're made so I don't know how I'd really feel about an American made Jaguar.

I know how you feel. However... If making on US soil makes it cheaper for us... I am all for that. They need to get the price of the F-Type V6S DOWN.

I need to brush up on my reading comprehension skills! Admittedly, I have never heard of Solihull.

I wouldn't complain about that! But it looks like they're adding more standard features for the 2016 MY so if anything it's going up. In the end I probably wouldn't mind that much--anymore a car is rarely even close to being 100% American, German, British etc anyway.
