You should be looking at the total cost of ownership which is your monthly payments plus all monies (taxes, tags, down payment, etc.). This is how much money out of pocket you will be giving to the dealer for the privilege of driving the car 27,500 miles over the 33 month term of the lease.

The figures I put in my original post was the total cost of ownership over 33 months. The only difference would be if some of the money due at signing is a security deposit.

So the R-sport I mentioned will cost you less money for the same term/miles. The Portfolio will cost you about $1,100 more.
