Out of curiosity I'm slightly hoping someone goes down that route and posts the details. Preferably several people with different tunes and faults since a single case would provide little data.

I very much expect this not to happen.

Here is relevant situation:

Dealer didn't notice tune/mods on a lease turn-in, sold the car as CPO to the current owner. New owner now has warranty (and purchased extended warranty) voided as a result of the tune. There is non-zero chance that dealer, who is on the hook for this mess, will go after PO that tuned the car.

That's a great thread. If I had a modified EDU, I would not revert it back on lease end or trade in. I wouldn't even mention it unless it was a trade in and I had the file to revert it. I'd give the seller the file and let them decide what to do.
