Map update fail
For the first five years of my XE, I successfully downloaded and installed map updates for my InControl Pro navigation. When my subscription ended, I did not renew.
I have just purchased a three-year subscription and downloaded the current map update onto a USB thumb drive. I then turned on my engine and navigation system, and plugged the thumb drive into one of the two USB slots between my front seats.
Nothing happened! Nada!
How must the thumb drive be formatted for this to work? FAT 32? Something else?
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance...

So I bought a new thumb drive and the map update loaded and installed immediately. I had been able to download the map update onto each of my three older thumb drives, but none of them could upload the update to my XE.
Yes I found the same thing. When I changed my MY18 XE for a MY20 one (with exactly the same Nav system) the thumbdrive that I'd used successfully on the MY18 just wouldn't work at all on the MY20. I also bought a new thumbdrive, formatted it to FAT32, and it worked immediately. I've also had music thumbdrives loaded with mp3 tracks work perfectly for a while and then suddenly stop being recognised at all. Transferring all the tracks to a new thumbdrive and it all works again.
Jaguar USB connections seem to be very finnicky
