My Customizations and Impressions
The following is a list of my customizations on my Jag XE. I included the labor costs where I didn't do it myself to give an idea of the investment. I do not include parts cost since that changes with style, vendor, sales and time. When doing performance mods, I stick with one vendor because I know their stuff is tested together. Additionally, I considered the product line width and depth so that I could keep pushing forward, if I wanted, without worrying about compatibility issues.
These changes have kept the car new and exciting for me.
My customizations Labor Cost Comments and Observations
VelocityAP Phase 3 tune: Port (w/ Upper Pulley) 6.5 hours @ $165/hr. Significant performance improvement from idle on up. A small increase in supercharger whine. Labor cost would have been near zero, if I had done it at the time of crossover coolant pipe replacement.
VelocityAP Phase 2 tune: (w/ Pulley) 2.5 hours @ $165/hr. Significant performance improvement from idle on up. Dramatic bang for the buck!
Symposer Delete: $- Essentially free. Done as part of the crossover cooling pipe change. Engine sound in more natural and linear. Used LR part LR025788.
Dead Pedal: DIY (2 hours) Bought a stainless dead peddle with the Jag logo on eBay to protect the carpet. Added LR (VPLYS0470) stainless brake and gas peddle covers (cheaper).
Headlight Protection: DIY (1 hour) Weathertech. Headlights for the Jag are stupid expensive.
VelocityAP Phase 1 tune: DIY (<1 hour) Smooth delivery of power. Car pulls stronger above 4000 RPM
Wireless Charger: DIY (4 hours) Bought on eBay. Phone slides about though in spirited driving
OEM Red Paddle Shifters: DIY (15 minutes) Nice tactile feel.
Paint calipers: 3 hours @ $55/hr. Adds to the sportiness of the car. Cover plates T4N16179
Quad Exhaust: Rear Diffuser to match 5 hours @ 55/hr. Exhaust tips from eBay. Modified the existing rear diffuser.
Remove XE, 3.5T AWD: 1 hours @ 55/hr. Cleans up the rear of the car (left the leaper and "JAGUAR")
Planned customizations Labor Cost Comments and Observations
VelocityAP Transmission tune: DIY Purchased. Not yet installed.
Resonator delete: Planned
CF intake from VAP: Under consideration
These changes have kept the car new and exciting for me.

Thanks for posting your mods & impressions. I just acquired my 2nd Jag last month and have already started modding its exterior, with a tune and pulley swaps likely in the future. I was considering Paramount Performance for the initial tune with no mechanical changes. Might get what, 20hp from just a tune? Any advice?
I can't speak to Paramount, but With the VAP Phase 1 I went from 340 to 416 HP. Regardless of what you start with you will end at 416HP and 353ftlbs. You won't see a big change until about 4000 RPM. Once up there the car pulled quite a bit stronger.
Yes, since the 340, 380 and 400 hp versions of our V^ are the same mechanically, the VAP tune only will get you from 340 or 380 or 400 to 416. So an improvement of 76 or 36 or 16 HP depending on where you start. so you would see a 36 hp improvement with just VAP's phase 1 tune.
And beyond just the tune, the upper and lower pulley swaps I imagine would garner at least another 80 or so.
I'm sure most of this had been discussed already, I'll just need to do some more searching in the forum, I've been here long enough to know better. You don't need to reply unless you're bored. Thanks for the information.
No change in gas mileage. Honestly, I have had zero downsides.
As a precaution, I did tighten up on oil changes based on general advice on the forum (not just because of the tune). I started changing it every 5-6000 miles for the last 3+ years.
I now am at 86k and going strong. I took the added precaution of having my oil tested ($40) from Blackstone before I went with the rebuilt and ported supercharger with smaller pulley (Phase 3). The report came back fantastic so I see no ill effects of running Phase 1 (since 54k miles), Phase 2 (Since 68k miles) and now Phase 3 for the last 2 k miles! Again, I used VelocityAP for all of this...
Best of luck enjoying your XE!

Thank you, brother, for your advice. 🤝
This is my wife's car, so I don't get a lot of time behind the wheel, but it sure is a class above our previous Mercedes C300 Sport. And it's faster than my XK.
I just heard back from Paramount Performance (UK) and they said their tune typically produces output in the 405-415 on the dyno. I'm going to have to look up VAP to see if they have any US locations or if they can do the remote tuning as well, and compare the two vendors.
Thanks again!

You’d notice it going from 340HP, but less noticeable if you start at 380HP. I have the VAP stage 1 tune of my F-type. The extra power wasn’t very noticeable, but the smoother power delivery was the main reason I got it, and that’s noticeable.
Yes, sir, it pulls hard! Man this car's quick with those gears and that power...
