Made a quick stop at the store tonight and left my wife in the passenger seat to enjoy the Meridian sound system. Also left the key fob in the car. For security, she pressed her door lock button on the passenger door to lock the doors after I left. The lock buttons were illuminated.

When I returned to the car, she attempted to unlock the doors for me by pressing the passenger door lock button. Nothing happened. Had to use the key fob to unlock the doors.

Just tried it again at home. Pressing the passenger door lock button will lock all the doors but won't unlock them. Only the master unlock button on the driver's door will unlock the doors.

It seems like the only way to unlock the doors from the passenger side is to pull the passenger door release lever? If the doors are locked, pulling the driver's or passenger's door release lever unlocks all the doors. I'm not sure what happens in the back seat, and I don't feel like climbing back there tonight to see...

Do I have this right?? Am I missing something? Owner's Handbook is of course, vague on this topic...
