Well that's disappointing...
With only 60 miles on my XE S, I had the check engine light come on today. I started the car and noticed that it was idling very roughly. After about a minute, the check engine light came on. I called Jag roadside assistance and had the car towed to my local dealer.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

The dealer just called and said that the car is coming up with a fault for the ignition coil. They're going to keep it at least overnight.
The Jag is at my local dealer, but I bought it from a dealer about 40 miles from me in the Philly suburbs. The local dealer told me that they wouldn't have any service loaners available until Friday, leaving me stuck potentially without a car for several days. I called the dealer who I bought the car from and explained the situation. They were great - they're delivering a loaner to me now and will pick it up when I get my XE S back. If anyone is looking to purchase a Jag in the Philly area, PM if you're interested in a recommendation.

I lost my entire power steering at 300 miles. They had it for two weeks. Probably the gremlins of a first model year car (assuming yours is a 2017).
I didn't mind terribly though, they gave me a red 35t loaner and I drove it like I stole it for two weeks. All while accumulating 0 miles on my lease car. I was ready to get my BRG baby back tho and it's run flawlessly since then. It now has ~1600 miles

My girlfriend has taken over the XE as her daily and brought it to our local dealer for its annual. She turned on the charm and they are living up to expectations for service for Jaguar.

Thank you for the information. Since the XE S is a new model here in the states I am interested in all issues pertaining to that model. I have thus far run across only gremlins in the ICTP which I believe is related to software (No Audio and Rear View Camera).
My dealer in Hoffman Estates has been superb with regards to service and I am glad to see that others are experiencing the same thing.

Just wanted to provide an update. Last week, the dealer said that the check engine light cleared and didn't come back on so they didn't do anything to resolve the issue (said they couldn't without the check engine light being on). I got the car back on Friday and then on Saturday had exactly the same problem. This time, the dealer said that they needed to replace a fuel injector - that's being done tomorrow. Hopefully this resolves the issue permanently this time.
It could be tainted gas that the dealer put in your car to get the tank to full.....especially if its throwing fuel injector related codes. This would account for the car driving just a few miles then choking up.
I'd get them to empty the tank and find a Shell Station to refill...it'd be worth the $40.00 for the piece of mind if it were mine.
Its good they will replace your injector, great ! But it'd odd that one will go after 60 miles on the odometer.
If you don't replace the fuel, and the car has another fuel injector go after this replacement, the odds of it being fuel related go waaaay up.
You might also want to suggest a fuel filter replacement while they are in there.
Just a thought.

Codes for all faults that would trigger check engine are logged. So this isn't true. However, these codes are often misleading. So they probably had code for misfire, couldn't recreate it, and instead of explaining to you the issue provided this flawed explanation.
I also agree with Austin7, there is very good chance the car sat too long on the lot and fuel went bad.

Thank you both for the input. The dealer replaced the fuel injector yesterday and wanted to keep the car overnight. I will ask them about draining the fuel and replacing and potentially replacing the fuel filter.
