Default 2017 XF 20D AWD (is this for real?)

I have been perusing the shop manual a lot in the last couple of days for my "new" car. No issues, just trying to become more familiar with it. Reading up on the engine I saw that the fuel pump delivers fuel to the fuel rail at 26,106 psi. Is that for real???? 1800 bar??? The components must be made out of very thick Titanium.

Yes its for real. For diesel engines, high fuel pressure is needed to atomize fuel as best as possible since it has oil properties as part of the fuel. Since diesel engines use heat for ignition, and not spark, proper fuel atomization is needed for burning.
