2018 XF S 3.0D Dynamic Suspension Issue over Bumps
Had my car in today to get some answers on the clunk from the front. It turns out to have been the gearbox mounting that had perished and the centre of it was bouncing around inside the metal casing, hence the clunking. The car now drives as it should, smooth and quiet. Hope this helps
Brilliant news Carlsson. Mine is going in for a service on the 1st Dec so I’ll get them to check the gearbox mount, if you’ve found the answer there will be a lot of very happy people, me included. Ill let you know how I get on.

SteveF and all,
If it's the gearbox mount, then it's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix for something that's a pain to live with! It has transformed the car, which I had considered selling as a result. Really surprised that so called professional investigators were unable to pinpoint it.

Hi Carlsson,
got the car back from the garage earlier this week after a service and a wheel speed sensor replacement. They checked the gearbox mounts and found no issues, with which I’m both pleased that the previous places haven’t missed it, but also disappointed that the issue remains.
Back to square one.
hopefully yours is still riding smoothly!
