Has anyone had the problem of their dash board bubbling up?

 

Not me. What year/model do you have? Mine is the Rsport which may have a different dash. Are you talking about the area under the windshield or the whole dash?

 

Yes, the area under the windshield. It's a 2010 XF Premium Portfolio. I'm wondering if I can have a upholstery shop replace that portion of the dash.

There is lots of information posted in the X250 subforum. Seems it affects the X150s as well.

 

Yes - several people went that route. Not perfect but was a couple of hundred dollars vs several thousand

This is the wrong sub-forum. If you look at X250 there is a great thread with step by step for dash removal and having an upholstery shop repair it

 

i have 2010. used car dealer where i purchased had it for sale with dash as such. i asked him to repair it as condition of sale. he did. what was done was windshield removal. stretch material and reglue / staple it. reinstall windshield. looks 95% awesome. repair has been in place for 9 months and is holding up. couple wrinkles in area of repair, but only noticeable to me.
