Driver Side View Mirror intermittent operation

Driver Side View Mirror intermittent operation
After having my Jag for about a year the driver side view mirror stopped fanning out when the car was turned on. I called service and was told that the issue occurs when the mirror gets bumped, possibly by someone walking by. They told me that to get it to work that I was to drive forward and hit the control buttons again. This did fix it.
However, now it happens more often then not. It’s intermittent, but instead of happening once a month, it happens several times a week. Has anyone had this same issue?

You can check for this by trying to rotate the mirror body by hand when it's in the (unfolded) driving position. It should be firm but if you can move it, it's not seated properly on the drive peg. When this happens you can usually feel it click back into place.
