Default Engine Oil Evacuating System

Hi
We have a 2017 Jaguar XF Prestige, 3.0L SC. Would this be a good vacuum system to draw the engine oil out for oil changes?
Fluid Evacuator Kit, 2.3 Gallon PneumaticVac, MityVac by Balkamp?

Thanks for your time,
Dan

That system should be adequate as long as it can hold 8 litres or more of oil.

Make sure you also have the correct tool for removing the oil filter housing cover as it's plastic and can break.

Great and thank you. As for the filter wrench or tool, we have that and will use the correct torque on the cap.
Have a great New Year!!

Default Yikes

I tried two different oil evacuators on my CLS and had absolutely no luck. Only got 2 quarts of oil out; spent a staggering amount of time to even get that much out. One product collapsed on itself, and tried another one that maintained structural integrity. Neither one got more than 2qts out.

Have not tried it on my XF, but see no reason anything would be different.

Having worked for Mercedes for 12+ years, they were not designed to suck the engine oil out. Your CLS would have an issue sucking up oil through the dipstick. It was a little easier when hot but still would never get all the oil out due to dipstick not going to oil sump. The AJ126 and AJ133 (S/C 3.0 and 5.0L) are designed to suck out oil. Should have no issue with your XF as long as in has the correct engine for it.

That is fantastic news Rummy. The folks on the MB forums didn't mention that.

Thank you!
