I have a 2017 XF AWD with ~50k miles. I was changing the differential and transfer case fluid yesterday and found the front diff was very low. There was also evidence of a leak - oil drips on the case. I am guessing the half shaft seals are leaking. Drive shaft looked ok but half shafts are difficult to see.

has anyone done this job? Any pointers?

also saw some mention of the lack of a breather may be the root cause
