How much to offer.? New MY18 Sportbrake
Hi,
im looking at a new 2018 Sportbrake that retails for $83.4k: dealer is advertising $64k, but they also had the car on the lot for 500 days.
I have seen dealers advertise 25-30k off across the country. Do you think starting at $27k? This is in the SF Bay Area...the land of Teslas ( that’s why I want to get something different..,)

I think offering $27K less than window sticker is reasonable, so $58 - $59K.
I just bought mine at the end of June, sat on dealer lot for 1.5 years, Jan 2018 to end of Jun 2019 when I bought it, It was the only one I had seen with every available option to put the window sticker at $87.3K. I watched for a while and when they lowered the $ to $60.8 I jumped on it, about $26K lower than msrp.. I added one year to the CPO warranty which added a little more. It only had 377 miles when I bought it, they made it CPO in Jan 2019, after it sat on the lot for 1 year. Had it sent to Denver in an enclosed hauler.
I had a tough time deciding on the New 2018 for pretty much exactly the same price $, but decided to go with the CPO since I could add the extra 1 year to the existing 1 year CPO warranty.
I know another person from Pacific Northwest bought this one right after I got the CPO, hoping he/she joins or has joined the JagForum
Let us know if you do decide to buy it, there aren't too many of us. I love mine, just turned 1K miles on it this weekend.

I'm currently haggling with the dealer: they are currently at $63K ($21.4K off): i went for blood at $56K ($27.4K off) since they had the car for 500 days. Based on my research Jaguar sold 232 (50+64+118) XF over the last 3 months (of of 5933 total sales, May-Jul), so about 4% of total sales (with july being really weird...)...my dealer has 8% of their inventory in XF, so i'm trying to educate him that he has too much XF inventory. I'm in the SF BayArea and practically see no XF around (actually no jaguar sedans): just a few F-Paces, even the i-pace which would be the perfect car for the BayArea is not really selling here (since it's way to expensive)
I know that $56K is prob too low (i'm also not trading in anything), but i would think that $58-60K should be doable.

Just bought a 2018 Sportbrake from a dealer in Maine for ~$48K. Sat on the lot for 160 days. Includes a 6yr 100k CPO warranty. Had 13k miles on it. Firenze Red. Couldn't be happier.
Put the screws on them and steal that longroof!

@adb1980 Hope you get the price you want. I you do decide to go out of state, Jag Salt Lake City has 5 New SportBrakes and I know they will negotiate for lower than the advertised $
Jag SLC SportBrakes
@JaguarJack12 I know exactly the one you bought in ME. I had it saved on AutoTrader, was the only Red one for sale in the country. It had every available option too right, Technology, Comfort, Driver Assist and Premium Interior Packages ?
That may be the nicest color for a SportBrake, and the Black Wheels look great, very rare. You should post a pic in the New Member Intro.
