First of all my interior lights are set to “auto”

car is 2017 premium 3.0 supercharged AWD

the symptoms I see are that when I open the door the interior lights do not come on. However if I let the car sit for 10-15 mins then open the door the lights illuminate staying on for ~20 seconds. Coincidentally this is about the time when the headlight cooling fans shut off. May or may not be related. If I then close an reopen the door they do not illuminate.

after driving if I turn the engine off they illuminate for about 5secs the fade out.

I have tried a full reset, disconnect battery -ve and touch to +ve for 5 mins. No change.

I am thinking it may be an issue with a control module and will require a (expensive) trip to the dealer.

any suggestions greatly appreciated

 

just changed the battery as I was having other elecctrical issues - it was down to 12.4 volts, The interior lights no work correctly,
