Probably out to compete with the Audi A6L and BMW 5-series L versions that are popular in China. I know every A6 i've seen on the road in Shanghai has been an L.

 

Hmm, I think this might actually have better proportions than a SWB XF as it seems to gain back some of the more coupe-like profile of the outgoing XF.

The exhaust tips are different too, I wonder if they're going to make this an option.
