We've only owned the car a few days and I need to find time to read the manual. At the dealership I/we were playing with the fob and couldn't get the car to lock from outside with the fob. It just did a double (I think) beep. Didn't worry about it, bought it, drove somewhere, got out and it locked normally and mirrors folded in. No problem. FF to Monday morning. Wife drives to work, gets out, hits the lock...beep only.
Manual is in the car at her work, I'm at home. What are we/I doing wrong?

The beep is a "mislock" warning. The car is sensing that a door/hood/trunk is ajar, the ignition is on, or there's a smart key present within the car. If none of those things are actually going on then you likely have a bad sensor of some sort.

Wife was not able to lock car today. She just got home and I opened and closed all 4 doors, trunk, and hood...then tried the door lock from the pod and it worked correctly. Will keep an eye on it.
