OBD2 question
I am the new owner of a 2017 XF. I have never owned a Jaguar before, so I am trying to get used to its nuances.
I have a very good OBD2 code reader, but I see that the receptacle under the dash doesn't match any of the adapters I have. Typically, these are a tapered rectangle, but this car has a squared-off rectangle with a tab at either end. The car is British made vs. made in USA, so maybe England uses different connectors?
Could someone enlighten me please?
I was wrong. It has the standard plug-in. I would delete this post if I knew how.

You must be looking in the wrong place. The OBD2 connector is above the hood release (maybe a little to the right) and has the standard trapezoidal shape with a notch on the short side. Crawl into the driver's footwell with a flashlight and look up under the dash and you'll see it.
